It has been an energizing start to 2026 at Axiom, marked by meaningful progress across our work and partnerships. From insights gathered across major global congresses to thoughtful dialogue in our ASH town hall, we’re seeing clear momentum toward more precise, earlier, and increasingly personalized approaches to care. Additionally, we’ve been proud to support innovative collaboration models that are helping teams navigate complexity with greater alignment and clarity. Our REACH team has continued to give back, and please save the date for our annual 5K to fight cancer on July 25, 2026.
ASCO will be here before we know it! We’re grateful for the opportunity to stay closely connected to patients, physicians, and industry, engaging in real time as the oncology landscape continues to evolve at a rapid pace.
FROM THE THINK TANK
Congresses
So far in 2026, our team has been deeply embedded across major oncology congresses, engaging directly with physicians and capturing real-time perspectives on how cancer care is evolving. Across the congresses we've attended - ASCO GU, EAU, ELCC,SGO, and EADO - consistent themes have emerged: continued momentum toward earlier intervention, increasing biomarker-driven decision-making, and growing complexity in treatment sequencing across tumor types.
Heme-Oncology Unfiltered Townhall
Axiom held a heme-oncology town hall featuring Drs. Sekeres and Derman, focused on key lessons from 2025 and expectations for the year ahead. The discussion highlighted several themes with near-term impact:
The continued movement of BCMA-directed therapies into earlier lines of treatment in multiple myeloma
Key learnings from the VERONA trial in higher-risk MDS
The evolving role of IDH inhibitors in AML treatment paradigms
The increasing use of MRD as a decision-making tool, particularly in guiding treatment depth and duration
These perspectives reinforce a broader shift toward more precise, response-adaptive treatment strategies in hematologic malignancies; these trends will have meaningful implications for clinical development, positioning, and access in the years ahead.
Axiom recently partnered with two pharmaceutical companies to design a joint approach for launching therapies under shared commercial rights. While aligning cross-functional teams and securing internal governance is inherently complex, introducing a second organization each with its own processes, priorities, and decision-making structures adds significant additional layers. This complexity is further amplified by an increasingly dynamic regulatory and access landscape.
Drawing on insights from over 40 stakeholder interviews and close collaboration with a joint steering committee, Axiom developed a tailored, end-to-end process to support cross-company decision-making across the asset and indication lifecycle. The resulting framework provides clear roles, responsibilities, and governance pathways, enabling more coordinated planning and execution in the lead-up to launch.
The first quarter of 2026 reflected a strong start driven by service, awareness, and community engagement. From honoring MLK Day through local outreach efforts to advancing cancer awareness on World Cancer Day and International Women’s Day, Axiom REACH Foundation’s teams continued to show up where it matters most. Across regions, we strengthened partnerships, supported patients, and created meaningful moments that set the tone for the year ahead.
This July 25, we mark our 5th Annual 5K to Fight Cancer.
For five years, this event has powered our Cancer Patient Support (CPS) Program, helping families cover rent, groceries, and everyday essentials when cancer turns life upside down.
Run for patients. Run for families. Run for moments that matter.
Francisco’s diagnosis of tongue carcinoma deeply impacted not only his life, but the well-being of his entire family. As the primary provider, he was forced to step away from work, placing immense financial pressure on his loved ones during an already difficult time. The Axiom REACH Foundation stepped in to help ease that burden, covering essential living expenses and rent so Francisco and his family could focus on what mattered most - his care and recovery.
When we last visited, Francisco had proudly rung the bell, marking a moment of hope and resilience for him and his family. Sadly, his cancer returned aggressively, and we lost him early last month. His story is a powerful reminder of why this work matters, supporting families not just in moments of crisis, but through every step of their journey.
International Women's Day
In recognition of International Women’s Day, Axiom REACH supported a mammography event in the Greater Boston area, promoting early detection and access to breast cancer screening. This initiative reinforced our commitment to women’s health and the importance of proactive, community-based care.
MLK Day of Service
In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s call to serve, our Axiom REACH teams in Princeton and Boston came together to support their local communities, preparing and distributing sandwich bags with fruit and essential items in Princeton, and fulfilling a wish list of critical food supplies for the Boston Rescue Mission.
These small yet meaningful acts of service reflect our shared commitment to uplifting and strengthening the communities we serve.
